TutorCraft ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application ("the App"), which allows users to generate Khan Academy–style educational videos with the help of artificial intelligence.

By using TutorCraft, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you use TutorCraft, we may collect the following information:

a) Account Information

  • Email Address (required for sign-up with email and password).

  • Google Account Information (if you sign in with Google): may include your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google.

  • Authentication Data: Managed securely by Firebase Authentication.

b) Usage Data

  • Features you use within the App.

  • Frequency and duration of usage sessions.

  • Educational content you generate with AI (video prompts, text, or other input).

c) Technical Information

  • Device information (device type, operating system, app version).

  • IP address (used for security and fraud prevention).

  • Crash reports and performance analytics (collected via Firebase).

d) Subscription and Purchase Information (via RevenueCat)

If you purchase subscriptions or in-app products, RevenueCat, our subscription management provider, may collect:

  • Transaction details (product ID, purchase date, renewal/expiry date, price, currency).

  • Store purchase tokens or receipts (to validate with Google Play / Apple App Store).

  • Anonymous app user IDs or developer-supplied user IDs (to track entitlements).

  • Locale / currency code for billing.

  • Device and app metadata required for subscription status management.

📌 Important: TutorCraft does not collect or store raw payment card information. All payments are processed securely by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. RevenueCat only manages purchase validation and subscription status.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for purposes such as:

  • Creating and managing your TutorCraft account.

  • Allowing you to generate AI-powered educational videos.

  • Managing subscriptions and validating purchases via RevenueCat.

  • Providing technical support and responding to your inquiries.

  • Improving, personalizing, and enhancing the App’s features.

  • Preventing fraudulent activity and ensuring platform security.

  • Monitoring analytics and usage trends to improve performance.

We do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties.

  • Share your personal data with advertisers.

  • Display advertising inside the App.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information only in the following limited situations:

  1. With Service Providers

    • Firebase (for authentication, crash reports, and analytics).

    • RevenueCat (for subscription management and entitlement validation).

  2. For Legal Compliance

    • If required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or government request.

    • If TutorCraft is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not share your personal information for advertising purposes.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:

  • All data transmission is secured with HTTPS encryption.

  • Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In protect your login credentials.

  • RevenueCat securely validates all subscription receipts.

  • We regularly monitor systems for vulnerabilities and misuse.

⚠️ While we take security seriously, no system can be 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection of your data.

5. Data Retention

  • We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.

  • Subscription and purchase data handled by RevenueCat is retained according to their retention policies, which are required to maintain accurate purchase history and entitlement records.

6. Children’s Privacy

  • TutorCraft is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum digital consent age in your country).

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

  • If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will delete it immediately.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
